The Sindh High Court (SHC) issued a stay order on Saturday in favour of the Emaar Giga International. Emaar had filed an application against the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) after the latter prohibited it from carrying out construction work on the Crescent Bay Project.
Emaar in his petition prayed the court to issue a stay order and direct the DHA not to interfere with any development work carried out by the plaintiff.
The restricted the DHA from changing the status of the property currently in possession of the complainant and interfering in the construction on the disputed land or the work that has been already carried out by the Emaar Giga International. It also restrained the DHA or from creating any third party rights in any manner that changes the status of the property and the constructions till the final disposal of the matter.
