The number of beggars is increasing in the federal capital while children and women can be seen at every traffic signal asking for alms. Beggars use novel techniques to attract people as their sole purpose is to get money from them. The increasing trend of beggary at traffic signals in the capital is for lack of attention on the part of the authorities concerned. The social circles of the city have urged the civic administration to take strict action against those who are responsible for using children for such activities.
