A woman killed Shabana, a mother of three, for allegedly having illicit relations with her husband in Youhanabad.
Police said that the deceased had married Hanif around 10 years ago and had three children. They claimed Shabana developed illicit relations with her husband’s friend Ijaz, a resident of the same area. Police said Ijaz helped Hanif get a job in the factory where he worked and used to visit Hanif’s house in his absence to meet Shabana.
Police said Ijaz’s wife Shakeela knew about his illicit relations with Shabana and used to stop him. Police said Shakeela also stopped Shabana from having illicit relations with her husband. Police said the two women had scuffled before Friday on the same issue. Early on Friday, when both Hanif and Ijaz went to work, Shakeela took her husband’s pistol and reached Hanif’s house and shot Shabana when she came to open the door.
Locals reached the spot after hearing bullet shots and rushed Shabana to nearby hospital where she died. Locals also informed police, which after reaching the spot, arrested Shakeela and recovered a pistol from her possession. Police removed body of Shabana to the Jinnah Hospital morgue for autopsy and started investigations after registering a case on Hanif’s complaint. Nishtar Colony Police Station In-charge Investigation Khalid Gorsi said that the incident was clear cut and they shall soon present the case challan in court. He said that Ijaz escaped fearing his arrest. Shakeela, in police custody told journalists, that she did not regret her action and killed Shabana for good. The killer said that she saw Ijaz coming out of Shabana’s house late on Thursday night after which she decided to kill her. Hanif rejected the allegations levelled by Shakeela on his deceased wife and said that she did not have a loose character. He said that Shakeela used to quarrel with Shabana over minor issues and on Friday she just took a wild step.
