FIA arrests man selling fake spices in Lahore

LAHORE: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) during a raid, apprehended one man from the city’s Burewala area who was involved in the sale of fake spices under the guise of a food manufacturing company.

According to law enforcement sources, the raid was carried out late Monday night and the suspect Sarfaraz was arrested. A case was filed against the arrested individual over violation of the Copyright Act of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, late Monday night police carried out a search operation near the Assembly Hall area and its surroundings and checked documents of citizens.

Earlier, on January 25, Dolphin Force busted a gang involved in preparing artificial milk and arrested four of its members.

A team of the Dolphin Force was on routine patrolling near the railway lines in Shahdara when it came across two suspicious persons and arrested them. During checking, the Dolphin Force personnel recovered 600 kilograms of artificial milk and 40 kilograms of the chemical that is used in its preparation.

The accused identified as Naeem Masih and Imran had been running the illegal business for the past 10 years.
