The capital on Thursday arrested 13 people, including two women, for their alleged involvement in bootlegging and drug pushing and seized 22 liquor bottles, 96 cans of beer, 2.12 kilogrammes of hashish, 1.50 kilogrammes of opium and two pistols from their possession.
Sub-Inspectors Muhammad Ajmal, Yar Muhammad, Nusrat Ali, ASI Khalid Javed from Tarnol and Golra police nabbed four people, including two women, and seized 2.700 kg of hashish, 1.50 kg of opium and a 30-bore pistol from their possession. The arrested persons were identified as Nazim Baig, Muhammad Zadar, Saima and Aalia, a police spokesman said.
Meanwhile, Aabpara Police arrested Iqbal Masih, Karamat Masih and Liaqat Masih for their involvement power theft. Koral police arrested a person involved in a murder and seized a 30-bore pistol from him. Golra, Margalla and Shalimar police stations arrested nine suspects during search operations in their areas.
