An accountability court on Thursday extended the judicial remand of Sheikh Afzal, the main accused in the NIB Bank loan scam until August 3.
The accused is owner of the Haris Steel Mill and involved in the NIB Bank loan scam in which Rs 33.3 million have been embezzled. Afzal acquired a loan from the NIB Bank for Haris Steel Mills, which he did not return wilfully. The court, extending the remand, directed the NAB authorities to submit the reference in court by the next date of hearing.
