The eighth edition of the Pizza Hut Open Ranking Tennis Championship will commence from today at the hard courts of the Modern club Karachi. Pizza Hut is the sponsor and event is being organised by Sindh Tennis association in collaboration with the Council of Tennis Players & Pakistan school sports association.
Top Pakistani players, Aqeel Khan, Jalil Khan, Nomi Qamer, Saad baloch and Hassaan siddiqui have confirmed their participation in the six-day super series high profile ranking event. Two players from Mirpurkhas & seven players from Hyderabad are also participating beside 170 entries from Karachi. Meanwhile the STA has finalised seedings for the events. The top seeds in men’s singles, Aqeel Khan (1), Jalil Khan (2), in Juniors 17 Singles, Hassaan siddiqui (1) & Talha Zubair (2),in Under 15 Singles, Marib Malik (1), Saud Shoaib(2), in Under 13 Singles Hasan farooq (1), Nazif ahmed(2).
The boys under 15 and under 17 singles qualifying rounds will be held today at 11am. The boys & girls under 13 and men’s singles qualifying rounds will be played at 1pm.
