Federal Minister for Interior Rehman Malik visited Sindh Rangers Headquarters, Karachi and got briefing on the law and order situation and reviewed the law and order position of some of the areas where more vigilance is required.
Interior Minister appreciated the highly professional action done by Sindh Rangers in Katti Pahari which remained un-actioned for a very long time because of difficult strategic situation and also strong hold of criminals on both sides of the roads.
The Minister also appreciated the innocent people of the areas who expressed their satisfaction and appreciated the work of Sindh Rangers during the visit of the Federal Interior Minister to Katti Pahari area. Rangers also provided the relief goods to the affected people specially to those who had migrated from the area because of the dense firing. The area is now fully under control and the Rangers have been directed to ensure their presence till such time complete peace is restored.
The Federal Interior Minister also reviewed the operational requirement of the Sindh Rangers and appreciated the Rangers for their work within limited resources. Rangers will get their funds for affective operational duties. Both Federal Government and Provincial Government will sanction the funding as per their requirements.
Plan has already been worked out to take action into other troubled areas.
