IED kills two cops near Peshawar

Suspected militants on late Sunday night targeted a police van with an improvised explosive device (IED) outside the Peshawar city, killing two policemen while injuring eight others, including a sub-inspector.
Police said a patrolling party of the Urmar Police Station was on a routine duty when the IED exploded near the residence of the former union council nazim at 11:25 pm. Two policemen were pronounced dead at the scene.
The injured had been shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH), where some of them were stated to be in a critical condition.
