Peshawar police foiled an attempt to destroy a NATO oil tanker here on Thursday.
NATO oil taker had to stop near Ring Road Bridge due to some technical fault in the border area of Thana Marai police station. Mean while the truck driver observed a bomb attached with the tanker, he immediately called up the police. Police called up bomb disposal unit, which disposed locally made 1 kg explosive bomb.
According to Inspector Hukam Khan, 9 volt battery, remote control rescue and one electric detonator fuse were also attached with the bomb.
