Vegetable and fruit prices remained stable at Sunday Bazaars of the city while mango was the favourite commodity of citizens. The number of customers also remained high because of moderate weather. The City District Government Lahore (CDGL) imposed fines and cancelled contracts of shopkeepers for overcharging and poor quality of commodities but the practices were still observed at the bazaars. Shopkeepers said that mango prices have decreased slightly and customers are attracted towards them. The number of customers also remained high, which helped sales of shopkeepers to increase.
Fruit vendors said that mangoes remained the favourite commodity for customers this week as well. “Prices of mangoes are decreasing with the passage of time and people are very interested in buying them,” fruit seller Shafiq Khan said.
