The gifts of our democracy are many if counted unabashedly. The fact of the matter is Pakistan secured bumper wheat crop this year. The federal government raised the salary of the down trodden government servants to improve their efficiency. NFC award, Balochistan Package and 18th Amendment are some new feathers in the hat of this democratic setup. On international front Pakistan has also started diversifying its foreign policy options by building up close relations with Russia and Central Asian states. The American democracy is 250 years old whereas democracy in Pakistan is nascent given our short history. In this context we may give our democracy some due latitude.
