Four of a family gunned down in separate incidents

Four of a family, including a minor boy and a woman, were gunned down over personal enmity in separate incidents on Monday, Pakistan Today learnt.
A man and his minor nephew were gunned down in Lyari, the Kalakot police said. They said that two unidentified motorcyclists opened fire at Zahid Magsi, 30, and Faiz Muhammad, 4, near Bakra Piri. The victims were shifted to the Civil Hospital Karachi, but they succumbed to their injuries during treatment and their bodies were handed over to the heirs for burial, they added.
Moreover, two of their relatives were gunned down near the Mewashah graveyard, the Pak Colony police said. They said that Abdul Latif, 40, and Razia Murad, 30, were on their way to Old Golimar to attend Magsi and Muhammad’s funeral when unidentified suspects opened fire on them. The victims died on the spot and their bodies were handed over to the heirs, they added.
HOMICIDE: An elderly man was gunned down in Korangi sector 7-A, the Korangi Industrial Area police said. They said that Fazlur Rehman, 60, was on his way to offload the contents of his truck when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on him near Vita Chowrangi and killed him on the spot. FIR No 557/11 has been registered against unidentified suspects, they added.
BODIES FOUND: The bodies of a man and a woman were found from New Sabzi Mandi, the Gulshan-e-Maymar police said. They said that locals informed them about two bodies dumped in the bushes near a Karachi Water and Sewerage Board filter plant in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. A police party rushed to the spot to recover the bodies and shifted them to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, from where they were shifted to the Edhi morgue for identification, they added.
MISHAP: A man was killed during lift maintenance of an apartment building in DHA Phase VIII, the Darakhshan police said. They said that Zohaib Ikram, 30, was cleaning the lift when a heavy iron rod fell on his head and killed him instantly. Three other men who were working with the victim at the time of the incident remained unhurt, they added.
