Pakistan defeated India to recapture the Open crown in the 16th Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East (BFAME) Bridge Championship at Chennai. In 1999 Pakistan and South Africa were declared joint champions in Colombo. After more than a decade, Pakistan has recaptured the Open crown. Pakistan Bridge team needs appreciation from the government and media. At a time when sports in the country are in a very bad lurch, we will take any triumph that we can get. We need to start appreciating our victors rather than putting them down or being indifferent.
