Asif, a father of three, was allegedly killed by his in-laws in Tariq Colony Shahdra police precincts on Tuesday. Police said that Asif had left his house and had been living with his in-laws at Walton Road for past few months. Some unidentified people informed his brothers on Tuesday morning that the dead body of their brother Asif was lying near Muslim Mosque in Lohari Gate. When his brother reached there, they saw their brother who was lying in unconscious state. They shifted him to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police removed the body to city morgue for autopsy. Police said the deceased’s brothers alleged Asif had been murdered by his in-laws.
BURNT: Shaista, 8, daughter of Mohammad Arshad was burnt to death at Multan Road Hunjurwal police precincts on Tuesday. Police said Shaista was playing in the kitchen when her clothes caught fire accidentally. As a result, she sustained serious burn injuries and was rushed to nearby hospital where he succumbed to her injuries. Police handed over the body to her heirs after legal formalities.
BODIES: Two unidentified men were found dead under mysterious circumstances from Sabzazar and Bhati Gate police precincts on Tuesday. One unidentified, 40, was found dead near Shah Fareed Super Store in the Sabzazar police precincts while the other, around 45, was found dead near Ghora Chowk in Bhati Gate police precincts. Police reached the spots on local reports and moved the bodies to city morgue for autopsy. Despite several announcements in the local mosques, no one claimed the dead bodies.
FIRE: Fire erupted because of short circuit in three different places in the city reducing items worth thousands of rupees to ashes on Tuesday. A fire broke out in Al-Qasam Gifts, a duty-free cosmetics shop owned by Saqlain, gutting cosmetics, furniture and other valuables. Rescue 1122 reached the spot and controlled the fire. In another incident, a fire erupted in M. Shahbaz’s house at Johar Town damaging the household items. Similarly, a fire broke out in Faiz Gills’s house at Garden Town. Rescue firefighters were called to put out the fire.
