Bachelors, students and working women are facing residential problems due to the acute shortage of accommodation facilities in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
People in search of accommodation attributed the main cause of the accommodation shortage to the lack of bachelor hostels and proper affordable low cost housing schemes in the twin cities.
They claimed that the rents of rooms and houses have surged in the last few years due to the unprecedented influx of students and job seekers in the twin cities.
The property dealer said the bachelors were facing many problems in finding accommodation, because the owners prefer to rent out houses to families.
this is a serious problem faced by the students these days… as the hostel owners charge very high….this trend must be discouraged and the govt should build govt hostels for the students…so that they may study in a comfortable way….
