International Sufi Council (ISC) Chairman Fakhar Zaman on Thursday made nominations for council presidents in various member countries.
The nominated presidents included Galleze Ouiza, Algeria, Ernesto Garzon, Argentina, Denis Enis Mete, Austria, Dr Vagif Mammadov, Azerbaijan, Ashfaq Hussain, Canada, Ignacio Salvador,Chile, Professor Tang Mengsheng, China, Nese Yashin, Cyprus, Nasar Malik, Denmark, Gino Leineweber, Germany, Denis Matringe, France, Dr Jihad Halil,Greece, Dr Fatima Hussain, India, Jack Harte, Ireland, Dr Abdullah Cherif Ouazzani, Morocco, Tulasi Diwasa, Nepal, Asad Mufty, Netherlands, Dr Sierakowska-Dyndo Jolanta, Poland, Dr George Grigore, Romania, Dr Ilshat Nasyrov, Russia, Dr Pablo Beneito, Spain, Dr Ramani Hettiarchchi,Sri Lanka, Peter Curman, Sweden, Patrick Haenni, Switzerland, Dr Zahia Jouirou, Tunisia, Dr Mahmud Erol Kilic, Turkey, Dr Gulzar Ahmad, United Kingdom, Professor Tash Mirza, Uzbekistan, Professor Vito Salierno, Italy, Professor Jan Marek, Czech Republic, Dr Karamatullo Oliemov, Tajikistan and Dr M A Siddiqui, Pakistan. The chairman said more nominations for ISC presidents would be made after consultation. He said the conference shall hold its inaugural conference in Pakistan or another member country within the year. The ISC headquarters shall be in Lahore, he added. He said the respective ICS president in a member country shall nominate his own executive committees.
