The Punjab Health Department has issued a schedule for the implementation of the Punjab chief minister’s summary regarding the promotion/regularization of medical officers with postgraduate qualifications as assistant professors, senior registrars and district specialists, who have applied before July 22, 2009 for regularization.
The department has directed the doctors to appear along with their original documents in front of the department’s committee headed by health special secretary, who will verify the documents at Punjab Health Director General office at Cooper Road, Lahore daily from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm from May 31 to July 13.
The schedule has been placed on the website of PMA Lahore as well. PMA Lahore officer bearers Dr M Tanveer Anwar, Dr Izhar Ahmed Ch, Dr Ehsanur Rehman, Dr Sabahat Habib Khan, Dr Kamran Saeed and Dr Salman Kazmi congratulated doctors and appealed them to respond to the Health Department for verification and willingness so that they can be regularized according to the direction of the Lahore High Court. These doctors were left to be regularized since July 2009.
