The Pakistan under-13 football team surprised some of the strongest teams of the region in their first ever international assignment with their superb performance. The team won two matches and lost in one match while drew in three. The national juniors started their AFC Under-13 Festival of Football on an encouraging note after beating Nepal 2-0 and drew 2-2 against Bangladesh U-13. The team maintained their hundred percent by giving impressive results in the Festival of Football (South Asian Zone) held in Yazd, Iran. In the following matches, they registered win over Nepal, drew against the highly rated India and Iran sides, and had a narrow loss to Afghanistan U-13. After the 1-1 drew in their third match against India, Pakistan youth lost to Afghanistan 0-1 but grabbed the win against Nepal 1-0 in the fifth match. However, their last match against one of the strongest teams of the festival remained scoreless.
