In “Unauthorised raid” by Ejaz Haider in your paper, he has put some biting questions to our civil and military leaders. With reference to the media hype about the mystery of US raid and murder of Osama, the cock and bull stories so far projected by the White House and the world media seem to be lacking the logic.
There is something more than what is being hyped by the media. It appears that we are not looking at the US interests and the approaching withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan. To this end we saw half a dozen visits by the US high ups to meet our President, PM and COAS. Why were they in a hurry? Was it to coordinate with their non-NATO ally?
It is unbelievable to say that as per FO they came in four helis, raided, killed Osama, destroyed one of their helis, stayed for 40 minutes, went back to Afghanistan and no one came to know about them. And why was the latest photo of Osama not shown?
It smells a rat. It appears that the US government wanted to kill two or may be three birds with one stone, namely: They wanted to boost Obama’s popularity for the next election, they wanted to show to the world that ISI could not be entrusted with the job and they wanted to make an egoistic excuse for their Afghan withdrawal as the main job has been completed.
