LSE slides 42 points

Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) remained bearish. The LSE 25-share index shed 42.50 points and closed at 3,161.71. Overall traded volume was recorded at 1.79 million shares, which was 232,770 shares lower compared to previous trading day. A total of 114 scrips were seen active at LSE of which eight companies gained value in their share price, 43 remained in the losers list and 63 closed unchanged. Lotte Pakistan PTA with 316,639 shares emerged as volume leader, which was followed by Lafarge Pakistan Cement, the Bank of Punjab, Fauji Fertiliser Bin Qasim and DG Khan Cement. Flying Cement Company witnessed an increase of Rs 1.0 per share and closed at Rs 2.34. Other gainers included Oil and Gas Development Company, Punjab Modaraba, Fauji Fertilizer Company and Pakistan State Oil, while Engro Corporation, Attock Refinery, Habib Bank, Pakistan Petroleum and Lucky Cement were seen in the red zone.
