Lahore Development Authority (LDA) demolished five illegal buildings and sealed 13 shops including a showroom for violating building by-laws during an operation in Samanabad and Gulshan-e-Ravi on Wednesday. The LDA staff demolished a commercial building illegally constructed on plot No 75 of main Samanabad for not paying commercialisation fee and not getting the building plan approved. They also demolished four boundary walls constructed around plot No 11, 15, 16 and 17 of Block-I Gulshan-e- Ravi and sealed a showroom constructed without getting the building plan approved on plot No 13 of main Samanabad as well as 12 shops constructed building plan approval on plot No 13-F, 53-J, and 3 and 4-J of Gulshan-e-Ravi.
Transfered: LDA Director General (DG) Abdul Jabbar Shaheen transferred four officers. LDA Director Revenue Fawad Amir has been transferred and made Headquarter DG’s protective service officer (PSO). He will continue holding additional charge of LDA revenue director until a regular appointment was made. Town Planning Deputy Director Tariq Mehmood, who was working as LDA commercialisation director, has been transferred made Metropolitan Planning Wing (MP-II) deputy director.
LDA Town Planning Deputy Director Muhammad Faheem has been reinstated as LDA director commercialisation. Metropolitan Planning Wing (MP-II) Deputy Director Mustafa Moazzam has been transferred and made LDA commercialisation deputy director relieving (TP-I) Deputy Director Sidra Tabassum from additional charge of LDA commercialisation deputy director.
LDA is requested to take notice of illegal expansion of rharhis in front of the private houses in Sandha areas which too much shorten of streets and causes abnomal flow of ordinary trafic in the streets.Most residents have expanded their THARAS from 3 feet to 6 feet and half foot.These expanded places in front ot the houses must be limited to 2 and half feet.
