Water level is rising in both the major reservoirs of the country Tarbela Dam and Mangla Dam day by day as 20 feet water level above than the dead level 1378 was recorded at Tarbela on Saturday morning.
According to data released by Indus River System Authority (IRSA), a total of 62,900 cusec inflow was recorded at Tarbela and only 55,000 cusec was released from the largest water reservoir of the country.
At Mangla, the second largest water reservoir, 83 feet water level was recorded above than the dead level of the Dam 1040 feet with a total inflow 74,556 cusec against outflow only 45,000 cusec which is almost half of the inflow.
Contribution of River Kabul and River Chenab was recorded 59,600 cusec and 37,774 cusec respectively according to the data of Indus River System Authority.
The Authority has predicted increase in inflows in Indus and Jhelum beside others water contributories of the country in the coming days as snow melting impact of low peaks owing to the rise of temperatures.
