More than 50 relatives of Ziaullah, who was tortured to death by the Green Town Police on Wednesday, staged a protest outside Jinnah Hospital and at Canal Road against the brutality of Lahore Police on Thursday.
Protestors got infuriated when the initial autopsy report proved torture of the deceased. According to details, Green Town Police tortured Ziaullah, a resident of 42/4-L village located in Okara, to death and removed his body to the city morgue. Senior police officials late on Wednesday suspended the policemen involved in killing Zia and ordered registering a case against them.
