Police, private firm sign pact to set up hidden cameras in city

The Police Department has signed an agreement with a private company to install video cameras in the sensitive areas of the city.
According to a statement of the Central Police Office issued on Tuesday, Sindh police chief Fayyaz Leghari and country representative of Getronics, Faisal Rao signed the accord at a ceremony on Monday.
The company will install cameras in the city during the next seven months, it said.
Secret cameras will help detect cases of terrorism, robberies and street crimes in the city.
CCPO Saud Mirza and other senior officers of the department also attended the ceremony.
