Relatives of a youth, who was allegedly killed under police custody in Clifton, barged into Freer Police Station and protested against the murder.

The infuriated women raised slogans against the police, as according to them, Kashif was killed in an alleged police encounter.

“Innocent Kashif was assassinated for no reason. And now, his body is not being delivered,” the protesters wailed.

However, on intervention by police high-ups, police issued a letter to the bereaved family to take custody of Kashif’s body from the hospital.

Kashif’s uncle asserted that six days ago, his nephew went out to get mobile phone credit when the police whisked him to the police station. He also said 24-year Kashif’s business was to supply carrots and beetroots to race club for horses.
