Transport for students

Almost 24,000 students study in Karachi University (KU). Out of which 6,000 students come from the areas of Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Steel town, Korangi, Quaidabad, Landi, Malir city, Kala Board, Malir Halt, Jafar Tayyar, Saudabad, Model Colony, Star Gate, Drig Road but not even a single bus from these areas goes to the KU. Students of these areas have to go till Nipa first and then KU. They have to change at least two buses and some even have to change three buses which is quite hectic for the students.

As many as 24 points are operational from KU that go to various areas of the city. But still many students use public transport. There are also other universities like NED and government colleges whose students are also facing the same problem. If a new bus route that specifically caters to the needs of the students in these areas is started, it will be beneficial for the students and transporters.

I request the authorities to please do some thing in this regard and ease the burden on the students. They are suffering a lot due to this transport problem.
