Speak less, deliver more

A person who observes more, listens to the point of view of others, relates the happenings of today with past and future, and ponders over them is the one who is in a better position to deliver in an effective manner. Each day, the print and electronic media bombard us with statements, slogans and criticism on burning issues. Sometimes, there is a glimpse of promises of a better and ideal future uttered by politicians, experts and analysts. But the ground realities are shadowed and very opposite to what is said and done. Healthy criticism leads to opening more doors of thinking and rationality. This helps to find out viable solutions. But on the other hand distorted facts, misinterpreting situations causes more frustration.

The common man is suffering more as on the one hand there are problems and issues he had to handle himself all alone, and on the other hand there is less hope that the situation would change. He is left with mental torture and confusion leading to more distress while listening to such rhetoric.

The repute of institutions reflects the mindset of those who are in charge. There are leaders among our own reputable institutions who speak less but deliver more. They are sources of inspiration for all. In present circumstances, there is a need of a clear vision for today as well as tomorrow, and that can only happen if all of us are aware of difficulties of our respective domains, prioritize our issues, think and focus on them and then speak. When those responsible find words for their well deliberated opinions, we commit to our nation and then find out ways to deliver. Also keep in touch and get feedback from reliable sources so as to make necessary changes to make the system more effective and accountable. If we cannot find solution to problems, then at least avoid creating a situation of uneasiness, restlessness and intolerance.
