The transport system of Pakistan needs immediate attention. People have to wait long for the bus and even if they do get it, they have to stand in it as they can’t get a seat due to too many commuters.
For the senior citizens travelling via public transport, it is an even bigger problem. They too do not get a seat and the bus drivers, ticker collectors, and conductors are mostly disrespectful to them. I have often witnessed they bus drivers do not stop bus for them because they take a bit time getting on board.
I request the concerned authorities to check into this matter and take some steps for the senior citizens who are very respectable.
Some percentage of seats should be kept for these people and drivers should co-operate with them because they are helpless. They too have the same, if not priority, rights to travel via the same transport.
