Legendary actor Moin Akhtar passes away

Legendary Pakistani television, film and stage actor and comedian Moin Akhtar died of a heart attack in Karachi on Friday evening.
He was 61 years old. Akhtar ruled the stage for more than three decades and was also famous in India for his comedic talents. The famous actor was suffering from cardiac problems and it was the second heart attack that resulted in his death.
His manager, Aziz Warsi, said Akhtar had been admitted to the Aga Khan Hospital for the last few weeks and had previously also undergone a heart bypass operation.
Born on December 24, 1950, Akhtar also worked as a mimic, playwright, singer, film director, producer and a host. His legendary performances had earned him the Pride of Performance and Sitar-e-Imtiaz awards. Akhtar also hosted a famous talk show called “Loose Talk” for a private television channel in 2005 for more than 400 episodes.
Recently, he was working on a new show “Dolly ki Baraat” with renowned actress Bushra Ansari. Akhtar often collaborated with Anwer Maqsood in hilarious sketches.
