KARACHI – The city administrator wants the district officer (zoo and aquarium) to recommend ways to develop the Karachi Zoo into a “model zoo and a modern recreational point” Karachi Administrator Fazlur Rehman, during a visit to the Karachi Zoo on Wednesday along with Coordinator Rasheed Jamal and Media Management Director Bashir Saddozai, said that adequate amount will be allocated in the next budget for the development of the Karachi Zoo, while directing the district zoo officer to submit suggestions in this regard.
Briefing the administrator, City District Government Karachi District Officer (Zoo and Aquarium) Mohammad Mansoor Qazi said that despite having limited resources, Karachi Zoo was providing a good recreation facility to the citizens, where hundreds of people were visiting on daily basis. Directing the zoo officer to solve the problem of water shortage and improving the food court area of Karachi Zoo, Rehman said that he will pay a detailed visit to the zoo on April 30.
