Government of Pakistan is collecting Haj applications. Nearly 180,000 people from Pakistan will go to Haj this year. Almost 80% (144,000) will go through PIA which means that PIA will earn almost 11.2 billion rupees from tickets. This is a big amount. I wonder why PIA is running in loss when every year during Haj, it is earning in billions. It seems the surplus employees who are appointed because of political affiliations are causing the PIA this huge loss.
