The tides are turning and there is a certain shift identified in the strategy of terrorist organisations. Taliban and other active insurgents are now coming hard on the law enforcement agencies. The recent attacks on police in Quetta must be treated as an eye-opener.
It is imperative to train the police further to counter such attacks if we want any hope to restore sanity in the region. A good portion of the budget must be awarded to the police defence so that they can attain enhanced technology to counter the terrorist threats.
