Our main stream political parties are like private limited companies which are owned and run like a family enterprise and the chief executive has all the power and treats the members of the party as their employees.
He can fire any member of the party who is found to be not following his orders. So if one wants to thrive in a political party, he must have the natural ability to tell lies with no remorse and defend the partys chief at all platforms on TV and in public. He must prove his loyalty to his boss by becoming his master voice. He must praise party chief day and night, consider his happiness his own happiness and must have the ability to do anything that pleases the boss and never allow his conscious or moral value bother him.
He must posses the cunning quality to become closer to the party chief. He should not have any ego or self respect to disagree on any matter with his party chief. He must become eye, ear and mouth piece of his boss and leave no stone unturned for his boss to be happy with him. He must project his boss as an outstanding leader and statesman
If he never dares to disagree with his party chief then the party chief will reward him to be a minister even if he posseses a fake degree.
Due to this prevailing culture in the main stream political parties the educated people with some self respect and integrity and conscience to stand by the truth are not joining these parties. The party chief will use tax-payer money ruthlessly for his personal image building when in power. As long as the political parties are depending on the one person to be the all-in-all then there is hardly any possibility that in the near future, true democracy will be established in the country.
