LAHORE – Red Bull Tum Tum Pa, a worldwide freestyle university drumming competition, locally in collaboration with Ufone’s Uth Records and City FM 89, its official radio partner, saw its third and final day on Saturday in Lahore at the UCP.
Farhad Humayun, the judge, was seen allotting points to each participating group, based on rhythm. Students packed the hall and contestants did their best to impress the judges. In the end, a group, ‘Chaar Payee’, succeeded in collecting the most points, owing largely to their creative tools and excellent collective rhythm.
Char Payee is now on its way to Islamabad for the National Finals, to be held at the end of April. The Red Bull Tum Tum Pa activity at universities is always fast moving, energy packed and thrilling to watch. A lot more action is yet to come as Red Bull Tum Tum Pa’s qualifier rounds now move onto universities in Islamabad.
