The crime rate in the capital Islamabad has been phenomenal during the first three months of the current year as compared to crime cases registered in the same period of last year. Despite foreign missions and other internal dignitaries in the Federal Capital, the ICT Police have been failing to ensure safety of life and property. The police have not been able to trace culprits behind various murder cases registered so far, which clearly give credence to the notion that police lacked capacity to investigate these cases. This has been despite the fact that police could not even arrest the accused in several murder cases that are still at large.
