LAHORE – Iqbal Town police arrested two employees of a franchise of a local telecommunication company after they clashed with the son of a former judge and employees of said franchise late on Sunday. Sources said former judge Shuakat’s son, Umer, went to the franchise office of a local telecommunication company to get some issue resolved. They said Umer purchased a mobile card from the franchise and left, but returned after something went wrong with the card. Umer wanted the card replaced but got into a fight with one Ameen.
Meanwhile, Umer informed his father after which former judge Shaukat arrived at the spot. Reportedly, Umer, his father Justice (r) Shaukat and Iqbal Town police badly beat up Ameen, security guard Farooq and an unidentified employee of the franchise office. Farooq was so badly beaten up that he had to be shifted to the Services Hospital for medical aid, while police arrested injured Ameen and the other employee as well.
