It has been reported in the press that Irsa has cut Punjabs water quota by 45 percent to increase the quota for Sindh.
According to the Irsa chairman, at this time Sindh needs more water for Kharif sowing than Punjab. With improvement in the water situation, normal provincial shares will be restored.
This shows that it is Irsa that controls river water distribution and not Punjab.
