Unhappy in-laws shoot man dead

LAHORE – One person was shot dead while a quack claimed the life of another in the provincial capital on Saturday. According to the police, Muhammad Amir was killed while his brother, Salman, received multiple wounds after Amir’s in laws attacked them in Baghbanpura over a matrimonial dispute.
Amir had married his cousin which angered his uncle Aslam. The two brothers were returning to their residence at Bhatti Chowk, when four armed attackers opened fire at them on the Sharifpura Road at Tayyab Kanta. As a result, Amir died on the spot while Salman, who was stabbed as well, was injured. An FIR has been registered against Aslam and others.
And in Ghaziabad, Abdul Qadir (48) died in mysterious circumstances at the Madni Masjid where he worked as a cook. Qadir, a resident of Shujabad, used to buy medicine in bulk from a doctor of his village. His condition deteriorated immediately after taking one of those medicines and died on his way to a hospital.
However, an autopsy has been ordered to ascertain the real cause of his death. Meanwhile, two robbers looted a hardware store on the GT Road in Daroghawala. The armed men bike riders and fled the crime scene after looting Rs 28,000 in cash and two cell phones. They also warned that they would come in again if the matter was reported to the police.
