It is encouraging to see that the security forces have been fighting vehemently, to flush out the militants infesting Mohmand Agency. It has been reported that the tribesmen have also been cooperating alongside the security forces, during this operation. It is imperative that for any operation to succeed local support is required and it can be achieved by gaining the confidence of tribesmen. Our security apparatus will only succeed in attaining long term objectives in curtailing terrorism, if they work alongside the locals. With the local administration and security forces working together, the militants will have no option but to accept defeat.
