A remote controlled bomb outside Rehman Baba colony in Peshawar has wounded SHO Sharkhi Sattar Khan and his gunman. This explosion was another attempt to demoralise the security officials who are fighting the war against terrorism in the country.
The police remains on the hit-list of militants because of their basic role in maintaining law and order in the country. The militants have now resorted to cowardly tactics and are aiming to demoralise the whole nation by attacking the security officials. However, the morale of the nation and the security forces remains high.
There is a dire need to develop new partnerships between the public and the police, so that these untoward incidents can be avoided based on intelligence-sharing and cooperation.
