The recent price hike in petroleum products is yet another blow to the poor of this country who are forced to bear with every transgression, be it terrorism or taxes. The government is now thinking of devising a formula that is supposed to bring the prices down. I wonder how come the government has not thought of this before. The Oil marketing companies are charging more than 30-40 percent of the total fuel prices which is the highest in the region. How far the government succeeds in doing so is a question that will see its answer in time.
