Khosa condemns carnage

LAHORE – Senior Advisor to the Punjab CM, Zulfiqar Khosa, on Monday condemned the suicide bombing at the shrine of Sakhi Sarwar in DG Khan.
He said that terrorists were not human beings and no Muslim could do such a brutal act because sufis of the sub-continent had promoted harmony, tolerance and peace in society. Khosa said that the wave of terrorism hit Pakistan in the tenure of a dictator and was still affecting the country.
The Punjab CM’s advisor said that terrorism had destroyed a large number of families and caused serious blow to the economy. He said that security forces and citizens had foiled the nefarious designs of terrorists through innumerable sacrifices.
Khosa said that poverty, ignorance, unemployment and backwardness were the root causes of terrorism and there was a need to resolve these issues. He said that it was a collective responsibility of all segments of society to strive for curbing the menace of terrorism and extremism.
