LAHORE – Anti-terrorism court (ATC) judge Tahir Pervaiz on Saturday acquitted underworld don Khawaja Aqeel alias Gogi Butt of all charges in the Arif Ameer alias Tipu Truckanwala murder case. The court acquitted Gogi by accepting his application filed under Section 295-K of the Pakistan Penal Code. The accused submitted that he was innocent and not involved in any case due to which he might be acquitted in the Truckanwala murder case.
Truckanwala was shot dead at the Allama Iqbal International Airport parking lot in January 2010 after arriving from Dubai, UAE. Sarwar Road Police Station registered a case against Khurram Ijaz Butt after arresting him from the murder site. Afterwards, Sarwar Road Police added the names of seven people including Gogi Butt and Malik Ihsan on complaint of Truckanwala’s maternal uncle
