LAHORE – Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Muhammad Aslam Tareen said that in order to eliminate the dens of narcotics and to reduce drug use in the city, enforcement teams have been constituted at divisional level under the supervision of SP, SHO, ANF HC, excise inspector and drug inspector. In this connection, a third meeting of Multi-Sectoral Task Force for Lahore Drug Free City Project was held at Capital City Police Headquarters under the chairmanship of the CCPO, who is also the chairman of the Lahore Drug Free City Project.
During the meeting, projects’ updates were reviewed and it was decided to further speed up the process of making Lahore a drug free city. CCPO apprised the meeting about an increased drug seizure during March under the campaign. The meeting also decided to award commendation certificates to the police personnel giving outstanding performance in order to ensure the success of Lahore Drug Free City Project.
