Though one-wheeling is banned in the city, there are still areas which are not under proper watch and where this practice is common. For example the Lahore Ring Road is used by many bike riders for this purpose.
It is a wide road and chances of accident are comparatively few here. But probably this very fact encourages one-wheeling. One-wheelers are seen riding a bike at breath taking speed.
Most of them are young and students who drive without caring for their own or anybody else’s life. This has become a problem for the people near this road, other drivers, and passengers.
Many accidents have been reported due to this practice. I wonder why the traffic police cannot get a hold of them. There is a dire need to limit their activities and slap fines to those who commit this offence.
