Christians rally against Holy Quran’s desecration

SAHIWAL – The local Christian community took out a protest rally against Pastor Terry Jones to express solidarity with Muslims. The rally started from Main Church, Karbla Road, passing through the main bazaars, concluded at Jinnah Chowk where Christian leaders addressed the protesters.
They condemned the act of Terry Jones. They said the Pakistan government should take notice of it.
DCO FOR MODERNISING AGRICULTURE: DCO Waqas Ali Mahmood has said that development and prosperity in the country depend on the promotion of agriculture and its modernisation. He was addressing the agriculture department staff, farmers and grain market businessmen.
He said the govvernment was providing maximum facilities for farmers and asked them to benefit from them.
TWO DIE IN ROAD ACCIDENTS: A man was killed and 24 other people were injured in an accident on GT Road near Qadirabad. On receiving information, Rescue 1122 reached the spot and took all the injured to the DHQ hospital where Abid, Zulfiqar, Fayyaz, Alia and Ghazala were reported to be in precarious condition.
Meanwhile, a class-five student was crushed to death. Yaseen was coming home while carrying wood when a speedy truck near civil hospital crushed him to death.
MAN KILLS SON-IN-LAW: A man killed his son-in-law over domestic differences in a village of Madhali sharif. Accused Shafiq murdered his son-in-law Murtaza after a quarrel and managed to escape. The Farid Town police registered a case and started investigation.
