QUETTA – Balochistan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi Wednesday expressed his dissatisfaction over the law and order situation in the province. Talking to newsmen after an awards ceremony held at Governor House in connection with the Pakistan Day, Magsi observed that the incidents of kidnapping for ransom were growing rapidly. When asked about government’s failure to ensure security situation, he said, “Judges, lawyers and even women are being abducted while the killings continue and I think it is the chief minister who could answer these questions”.
To a question, he said that no breakthrough was visible in negotiations between government and angry Baloch people as the issues could have long been resolved if the governments in the past tired negotiations. He said after the passing of the 18th amendment, he had no power to improve the law and order situation and that now it was the chief minister’s domain.
