The police checkpoints have been set up again with tight security arrangements in Islamabad. The interior minister has directed the police to tighten the security at entry and exit routes of the federal capital. He has also formed a Task Force to scrutinise the efficiency of police officials deputed at check posts and ordered a through checking of suspected vehicles.
As far as the security arrangements are concerned, the checkpoints should be properly installed on the highway, as it is the main entry point and from Rawalpindi to Islamabad. The police has removed all the checkpoints from there. I request the higher authorities to look into the matter before there is a lapse in the security arrangements.
