Awan, Durrani discuss southern Punjab issues

ISLAMABAD – Federal Law Minister Dr Babar Awan Wednesday said that government was fully determined to uplift living standards of people in southern Punjab and to bring them at par with the rest of the country. He told this to Senator Mohammad Ali Durrani who called on him to discuss the issues of southern Punjab, with a specific reference to Bahawalpur.
Senator Mohammad Ali Durrani discussed various legal and administrative issues regarding the development of less developed areas particularly with reference to the southern Punjab. The minister said that these remote areas had been neglected in the past and that now the people’s government would do its best to give them their due share in social, political and economic development.
